-International Thespian Society-
What is ITS?
The International Thespian Society has been honoring excellence in the work of theatre students since 1929. As of 2003, Century has joined this network of over 4,900 high schools around the world understanding the importance of theatre education. Students here at Century are invited to join this honor society by participating in our theatre program and accumulating points based on the quality and quantity of their work in theatre. Beyond recognition at graduation, ITS brings the benefit of helping young artists prepare for the theatre industry ahead. Throughout our different events we develop career changing connections and skills.

Our Troupe #6598 Exec Board

-President's Address-
Hello everyone! I am Angeli Barragan, the 2023-2024 President of Century's ITS Troupe 6598. Over the years I have grown my love for theater by taking on many ensemble, understudy, and supporting role characters. Some of my favorite CHS memories come from being a part of the Audience Ensemble in Chicago, playing Mrs. Gascoyne in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime and striking a pose as a Big Kid/Loud Dancer in Matilda. This year my goal is to bring back excitement for ITS in our troupe, so that we are truly able to utilize all its incredible opportunities. After a 5-year hiatus I am happy to announce that the Century ITS will be returning to compete in the 2024 ITS Maryland State Thespian Festival! Along with preparing a one act, attending workshops, and putting on fundraisers; I hope to plan more activities for our troupe to participate in, so all our Thespians can really get the most out of their ITS experience. I will embrace our motto "act well your part, there all the honor lies" by making sure our troupe stays happy, growing, and organized with all members getting well deserved recognition. Overall, I know success will be seen as our troupe continues thrive and expand in the years to come!

-President's Address-

Hi, my name is Katherine Collins, and I am thrilled to be Troupe #6598’s ITS President for the 2026-2027 school year. Since Freshman year I have performed in 8 CHS productions, including the ITS shows, “By the Bog of Cats” in 2024 and Student Director for “Unexpected Tenderness” in 2026. I want to help, support, offer guidance and information, uplift spirits, and make sure that everyone feels like they belong. Theater has been a part of my life for a long time, has helped to break me out of my comfort zone and discover a huge part of who I am today. For the upcoming '26-'27 school year, my goal is to have many fundraisers which will help grow and provide more opportunities for our troupe, which includes a big turnout for the ITS festival and other events. I have big hopes and plans for this year, and I want to continue to make it the best it can be. This is Katherine Collins, signing on!

Hi, I'm Calen Zetlmeisl! As your ITS Vice President, I am available to answer any and all questions you may have about ITS points, our field trip in January, or anything else related to our troupe. I hope everyone will consider getting more involved in ITS, as it can be a fun, rewarding experience (which I've discovered firsthand!)

Hi, I'm Blake Bray! I have been a member of ITS since my sophomore year. Throughout my time in the program, I've enjoyed being involved in productions, working with my fellow cast and crew members, and helping make our troupe the best it can be. As secretary, I'm excited to stay involved, support our troupe, and help create a fun, welcoming environment for everyone.

Hello, I'm Indra Pickett! I'm so excited to be on the ITS executive board this year! I can't wait to connect with everyone in ITS this year over our passion for theatre, and hope to make others feel that way too.
