Century Drama

At Century High School, we believe theater can help build confidence, community and creativity. We pride ourselves on working together as a community in and out of the school.

Our mission, is to foster student achievement in theatre while providing students with a safe and supportive learning environment in which to learn about the arts and in the process learn about themselves.

Our main goals are:

To provide students with the opportunity to express themselves through the power of theatre.
To encourage students to think outside the box, to think critically and to be able to intelligently articulate the effectiveness of various artistic choices.
To foster a lifelong appreciation of the arts.
To develop student self-efficacy, self-assurance, and self- confidence.
To help student grow socially, emotionally, and artistically.
To empower students with leadership responsibilities.
To provide students with the skills they need to be successful in theatre after high school.
To support and nurture each other in an inclusive community of respect and collaboration.
To produce professional quality productions while having the times of our lives.
